WHO ARE WE?

Until recently if you ran into us on the peninsula, we were just Winnie Crockett's son and daughter-in-law or Steve & Trish Barnes' (Noble Clay)brother / brother-in-law and sister-in-law or Howard & Ruth Barnes' not technically but close relatives. Now, that's not all .

In the form of an introduction, 32 years ago we left the Midwest to come to the St. George Peninsula - got as far as NH and have been trying to get here ever since; driving ourselves crazy coming up here as one of those pitiful “visitors” – you've seen them, it's so sad, they stopped being tourists years ago, they just…visit. Well, you guessed it – our youngest daughter, Jamie, graduated from college so we made the move (ok, you probably didn't guess that.) But you can guess that after seeing the Maine coast for the first time at 14 years old I was incurably affected… I spread the infection to Peggy when she was 20 and here we are…FINALLY.

We are Wayne & Peggy Crockett. We own and operate Peninsula Construction, formerly Hancock Valley Construction in NH. After 30 years in the new home and restoration business in New Hampshire – we finally made the move this past spring and are now scheduling business.

WHAT WE DO:

Our business is patterned after an old private medical practice. Whatever your house needs we take responsibility for personally and when necessary with other licensed professionals. So you always have someone to call-- us -- for anything. Believe me, it's as comforting as it sounds. We have been doing this for years for people in New Hampshire - their loss, your gain. (Peggy thought that sounded tacky, well, Peggy's not tacky…)

We are devoted to making your home just the way you want it. That may mean a new kitchen, bathroom, an addition, wine cellar, deck, screen porch - whatever. We will not only design the space you want and build it, but keep you happy during the project and pleased with the results for years to come.

Our home maintenance program will take care of all those things around the house you don't know how to do or just plain don't want to do! Some jobs we'll do for you will be so small you'll have to talk us into charging you. Take advantage of our unique service. From small puttering projects to sill replacements, porch railings, gutters and more – try to stump us with what your house needs, big or small, we do it all!
